About The Position

The Mental Health Professional is responsible for overseeing all aspects of mental health and behavioral management of campers and staff. Requirements

The incumbent must be 21 years of age or older
Prior experience working in mental health, social work or related field.
Ability to problem solve, observational skills, deescalate crisis situations and be resilient.
Show enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility and maturity and have excellent communication skills with campers, parents and staff whether in person, over the phone, or via email.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree or related field is preferred (or working toward degree).

Responsibilities

Assist campers with mental health and behavioral issues that arise as well as check in and follow up with campers.
Lead mental health professional development for staff.
Assist staff with burnt out.
Create new mental health initiates for campers and staff.
Supervise and participate in all assigned aspects of the campers’ day which includes but is not limited to: camper check-in and check-out; meal times; activities and extended am and extended pm duties as assigned.
Attend and participate in two weeks of Leadership Staff Training and General Staff Training.
