About The Position

MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL (MHP - Formerly PRSC) – Bryn Mawr Care, Chicago, IL ( Edgewater/Uptown area) Are you an experienced Mental Health Professional with experience in the treatment of moderate to severe mental illness in Adults? Position requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Psych, Human Services or related field. Or, 5 years experience working in those fields under direct supervision of a Mental Health Professional. This position is for Full-Time and hours are: 3p - 11p SATURDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY, (OFF THURSDAY & FRIDAY), OR 3p - 11p MONDAY, THURSDAY FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY (OFF TUESDAYS & WEDNESDAY) Starting Rate of $20-24 per hour depending on benefits selected. The facility is located in the Edgewater/Uptown area, near the Red Line and Sheridan Road buses. The Position available is Full Time with an 8 Hour Shift. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services Field (counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, education, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in other field + 2 years of supervised clinical experience in a mental health setting
Certificate of psychiatric rehabilitation from an Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) approved program + High School Diploma/GED + 2 years’ experience in providing mental health services
Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) Licensure through the Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association (IAODAPCA)
Occupational therapy assistant + 1 year experience in a healthcare setting
High School Diploma + 5 years of supervised clinical experience in mental health or human services

Responsibilities

Collaborate with consumer and treatment team to complete assessments and develop therapeutic treatment plans
Implement therapeutic care plans and activities in a compassionate and caring manner
Recognize, note, and inform treatment team when a consumer is not at their baseline of symptoms and behaviors
Lead groups and hold one-on-one sessions including engagement with evidenced based approaches
Collaborate with community agencies to coordinate care, including the Moving On Program
Crisis management and intervention
Effectively manage a caseload of up to 32 individuals
Participation in creation of discharge plans and recommendations for other levels of care
