About The Position

Fairview Range is hiring a Mental Health Practitioner for our Partial Hospitalization Program in Hibbing, MN. As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will provide direct care and therapeutic support to individuals experiencing acute mental health conditions. Under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, this role is responsible for facilitating group interventions, supporting individualized treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and promoting a safe and therapeutic environment. The practitioner collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and contributes to discharge planning and aftercare coordination. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, clinical judgment, and a commitment to trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care. Schedule: This is a Full-time position working 80 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours on the Day shift. Weekends: None.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) within 180 Days
  • BCS Certification current or obtain within 3 months of hire and maintains certification
  • MHP, or eligible within first 2,000 hours or four years of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with scheduling behavioral health patients and providers
  • One of more years of psychiatric in-patient care experience
  • Group Therapy experience

Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate therapeutic groups and individual activities and utilize current evidence-based practices for the identified population.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Communicates frequently and effectively with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity and coordination of care.
  • Promote engagement and participation while maintaining a safe and respectful group environment.
  • Offer emotional support, crisis de-escalation, and behavioral interventions under clinical supervision.
  • Participate in daily team meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment goals, and discharge planning.
  • Assist in keeping supplies and equipment organized and in working condition.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by licensed staff.
  • Communicate observations and concerns to licensed clinicians and contribute to care coordination.
  • Establish effective relationships with health care team members.
  • Demonstrate skill in utilizing psychologically based information to establish good interpersonal relationships.
