The Mental Health Counselor is an integral member of the treatment team at Beth Israel Lahey Health's Crisis Stabilization Unit. This 8-bed unit provides short-term residential stabilization services for adults experiencing psychiatric and/or substance abuse disorders. Operating 24/7, the unit focuses on leading encouraging groups, facilitating medication evaluations, and developing aftercare plans. The ideal candidate is energetic, nonjudgmental, and collaborative, dedicated to supporting patients and their families during critical times. Individuals are accepted on a voluntary basis, with an average length of stay ranging from three to five calendar days.
