About The Position

NeuLife Rehabilitation of Michigan provides rehabilitation and residential services for individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Spinal Cord Injuries, and Neurological Disorders. Summary: The Mental Health Counselor provides oversight of behavioral therapies across the company and works alongside the management team to develop new programs and expand current programs.

Requirements

• Master's level degree in health and human services field
• LMSW, LPC, LCSW, BCBA or similar state licensure required
• Two to five years' experience in working with developmentally disabled or catastrophically injured individuals, including traumatic brain injury
• Attention to detail and have the ability to prioritize independently
• The ability to multi-task and in a busy office environment
• Proficient customer service skills
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office
• Willingness to travel to different NeuLife Rehabilitation locations throughout Macomb and Oakland counties

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments on persons served residing within the program.
• Develop and manage comprehensive behavioral approaches and behavioral plans for persons served.
• Provide training to management team, direct care staff, etc., as needed, on the implementation and documentation of behavioral plans.
• Provide behavioral services representation at person served team meetings.
• Monitors behavior plan goals and submits progress reports on behavior therapy to billing department.
• Attend appointments as needed and communicate with person served team.
• Provides after-hours on-call services if needed for persons served having behavioral issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
