Mental Health Counselor - Lawrence Community Crisis Stabilization Job Description: The Mental Health Counselor is a member of the treatment team who works collaboratively to ensure a safe, therapeutic treatment environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, nonjudgmental, works well in teams and is driven to help patients and families in a time of need. Community Crisis Stabilization Unit is an 8 bed unit offering short-term residential stabilization services for individuals with psychiatric and/or substance abuse disorders. We are a 24/7 facility that works as a team to lead encouraging groups, connect clients with medication evaluations, and follow through with aftercare plans. Individuals are accepted on a voluntary basis. The average length of stay for the program is three to five calendar days.
