About The Position

The Professional Counselor provides evaluation, assessment, and treatment to patients in the form of individual, marital, family, and group therapy as well as triage, crisis intervention, diagnosis, education, and discharge of patients. This position works with providers, professionals, and agencies to ensure continuity of care through clear, appropriate, and timely communication. The position requires onsite presence a minimum of one day per week in Marshfield, WI, and may be eligible for a recruitment bonus.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in professional counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
• Current State of Wisconsin license as a Professional Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist.
• Experience working with patients of all age ranges with various mental health problems.
• Experience in individual, couple, family, and group treatment.
• Ability to identify and understand the psychodynamics of individuals.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation, assessment, and treatment to patients.
• Conduct individual, marital, family, and group therapy.
• Perform triage, crisis intervention, diagnosis, education, and discharge of patients.
• Ensure continuity of care through communication with providers and agencies.
• Complete thorough intake assessments and make diagnoses.
• Provide ongoing treatment addressing various mental health problems.
• Document treatment and assessments in a timely manner.

Benefits

• Level 1 benefit package for positions listed as 30 hours per week or greater.
• Level 2 benefit package for positions listed as 20 – 29 hours per week.
• Non-benefited for positions listed as less than 19 hours per week.
