About The Position

The Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) at North Range Behavioral Health is a team that consistently strives for success and is known in the state for its long-standing outcome data. When you join this team, you will have an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth and families. Therapists on this team are intentionally supported and set up for success through ongoing training and consultation in the model, consistent individual and group supervision that can be applied to licensure supervision needed, and expectations to work with no more than 6 given families at any given time. As a clinician on the multi-systemic team, you can expect to be trained and supported in the clinical model to work with a small caseload of clients to support them in establishing and achieving goals that support their behavioral health, relations, educational, and legal needs. Our clinicians deliver evidence-based resources to solve complex problems that put youth at risk for out-of-home placements. This position is an excellent match for someone who is an innovative and creative problem-solver and enjoys engaging families in working with their formal and informal support to address needs. Multi-Systemic Therapists aim to EMPOWER caregivers to have an impactful role in their youth’s wellness.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets insurability requirements.
  • Successful completion of background, fingerprinting, and drug testing
  • Annual Flu Vaccinations
  • Annual TB Testing

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
  • No prior experience is required, though it’s preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments, goal planning, and treatment for mental health and/or substance use issues, utilizing required instruments and formats within appropriate timelines.
  • Develop and update strength-based treatment plans, continuing care plans, and discharge summaries; make timely referrals.
  • Observe clients, assess diagnoses and mental status, and implement treatment plans based on clients’ needs and functioning levels.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, law enforcement, external providers, and psychiatrists to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Work with clients on safety planning, symptom management, support system identification, and risk mitigation.
  • Teach clients behavioral skills, coping strategies, and problem-solving techniques to improve well-being and daily functioning.
  • Support evidence-based practices to ensure effective interventions within the program.
  • Provide case management and refer clients to additional resources (e.g., vocational, medical, housing, residential treatment).
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records, ensuring ethical coding and billing in compliance with agency standards.
