About The Position

Koinonia Family Services is excited to announce an opportunity for a part-time clinician to serve clients in our Family Restoration Program in Loomis, CA. The program supports youth and their families in Placer County who are at-risk of entering foster care or are in foster care, as well as youth who have been adopted through the foster care system. This is a great opportunity for an experienced licensed clinician (LCSW or LMFT), or a registered associate (ACSW or AMFT) who is looking to further their professional development. Requirements

  • ACSW or AMFT registration, or LCSW or LMFT status (required)
  • This position requires a valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation as driving is an essential job function.
  • Qualified candidates must complete a criminal background clearance through the California Department of Justice and FBI to ensure eligibility for employment, as well as a pre-employment physical and TB test.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in a social service setting, working with children and families (preferred)
  • Experience working with children who have experienced complex trauma and their families (preferred)
  • Experience completing assessments and treatment plans
  • Skilled in therapeutic modalities, assessments, and treatment planning
  • Strong commitment to cultural competency and ethical practices
  • Passion for ongoing professional development

Responsibilities

  • Complete assessments to inform a diagnosis
  • Develop person-centered treatment plans
  • Provide individual and family therapy in clients' homes or in-office depending upon clients’ needs
  • Evaluates clinical interventions to meet desired outcomes
  • Write mental health notes and document client progress
  • Complete necessary Medi-Cal approval paperwork and related documentation
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
  • Collaborate with the youth’s natural supports and system team members
  • Assists with coordinating discharges and after-care efforts
  • Maintains intern registration and/or licensure status in good standing and participates in required supervision
