Requirements

  • 2 years of related experience; experience with housing and homelessness and/or substance use treatment models
  • Master’s in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field
  • LMHCA/LCSWA/LMFTA is minimally required prior to start date. Fully independent credentials accepted and encouraged.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written
  • Intermediate mastery of business applications and productivity suites
  • Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self-regulation in navigating challenges, conflict and obstacles/barriers.
  • Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment; works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance end-user experiences throughout the service lifecycle
  • Demonstrates exceptional commitment to serving and advocating for diverse and marginalized populations
  • Successfully completes tasks in a moderately noisy environment
  • Interacts with others and performs tasks in-person and with technology, with long periods of stationary activity and minimal periods of increased physical activity including and not limited to walking throughout residential building.
  • Moves equipment/materials weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Travels between worksites occasionally
  • Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings.
  • Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program

Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-informed, culturally competent, evidence-based, and client-centered assessment, counseling, diagnosis and treatment.
  • Maintain a case load of up to 48 clients; ensure documentation is current and submitted in a timely manner, including entering client interactions within an electronic health record system.
  • Support the mental health program through interactions in community by participating in community and organization events.
  • Coordinate with residential housing staff as needed to provide mental health counseling for residents; occasional training provided from this role to housing staff may occur
  • Stay up to date with knowledge and skills of the field.
  • Remain in good standing with ethics board and licensing board of chosen field.
