CERRC: Central East Regional Recovery Center offers outpatient treatment for adults dealing with substance use disorders. A diverse team provides comprehensive support through assessments, one-on-one counseling, group therapy, and discharge planning. CERRC is dedicated to addressing the unique needs of clients facing co-occurring disorders, homelessness, unemployment, or underemployment, and facilitates connections to additional community resources. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the LPHA is responsible for assessments, treatment plans and other clinical services in a Substance Use (SU) Disorder Outpatient Treatment Program. Provides behavior intervention and therapy services to clients with co-occurring disorders.

Requirements

  • Therapy and Counseling at the Master’s level —principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, in both an individual and group environment.
  • At minimum, a Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology or social work from an accredited university is required.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a clinical setting, preferably working with clients with co-occurring substance use disorders
  • Licensed or License Eligible with the State of California MFT or LCSW or other relevant counseling credential. Associate Clinician AMFT, ASW, APCC, Trainees or other relevant counseling credential.
  • Ethics and standards relevant to client/staff interactions in therapeutic, case management, and/or health and human services environments.
  • Must have CPR certification or be willing to acquire on the job.
  • Ability to pass a physical examination, tuberculin skin test, alcohol and drugs, including marijuana.
  • Must have medical clearance certifying absence of TB.
  • Fingerprint clearance and criminal check required.
  • Free from exclusion and debarment.
  • Verification of current driver’s license and automobile insurance required for personal car usage.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates client assessments and intake information that is completed by a SU Counselor.
  • Establish/verifies medical necessity and approves client treatment placement using ASAM criteria.
  • Determines Substance Use Disorder Diagnosis based on DSM IV.
  • Reviews, approved, and updates client assessments and problem list.
  • Develop individualized intervention plans that incorporate the behavior/emotional needs of the client and address other factors affecting the client such as substance abuse and co-occurring disorder.
  • Ensures medical records are maintained according to quality improvement guidelines and other contract requirements.
  • Consults with and refers to other community, social, health and welfare agencies.
  • Participate as a team member in administering internal and external rules and program standards in order to support client progress toward identified goals.
  • Provides training to clinical and other program staff at program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Program Manager.
  • Provides Case Management and Group Counseling as needed.
  • Performs drug testing urinalysis specimen collections and screening as required.
