About The Position

This is a professional human services and counseling position with the Department of Corrections jail facility utilizing a variety of treatment modalities to assist clients in the solution of varied behavioral health problems. Work involves providing evidence based cognitive behavioral treatment interventions for inmates in the Lancaster County Jail including the treatment of substance use, addressing criminogenic risk and needs and identifying other underlying behavioral health needs. Will provide guidance and recommendations to jail administration regarding program planning, development, and implementation. Participates in multi-disciplinary team and/or committee meetings to coordinate service delivery and agency functioning.

Requirements

  • Possession of a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) credential. Provisional licensing is not acceptable.
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience counseling clients in a mental health/social service program.

Responsibilities
