About The Position
Rutgers The State University is seeking a Mental Health Clinician III in the Edison Outpatient Services within Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare. Under direction, the primary purpose of the Mental Health Clinician III is to provide comprehensive evaluation, assessment and therapeutic intervention to address the psychological, emotional and social needs of individuals served by the Intensive Outpatient Program . Duties include formulating evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, conducting individual, group, and family therapy and providing case management functions
Requirements
- Master's Degree in mental health discipline.
- Licensure to practice as required by New Jersey state laws governing the discipline.
- Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
- Ability to speak clearly and write/type proficiently is essential.
- Ability to implement universal precautions and safety precautions.
- Extended sitting is required to provide treatment and prepare clinical documentation.

- Consistently behaves in accordance with established department and UBHC policies and procedures as observed by supervisor.
- Actively participates in and contributes to smooth functioning of the department and demonstrates initiative and flexibility regarding work assignments as observed by supervisor and administration feedback.
- Effectively contributes to and supports an environment that enhances the positive self-image of individuals served and preserves their human dignity as observed by supervisor.
- Maintains effective, open communication with members of the treatment team as evidenced by supervisory observation and team members' feedback.
