Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is seeking a Full Time Mental Health Clinician III to work at the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility, located in Yardville, New Jersey. The Mental Health Clinician III participates in the assessment of clinical needs of adult inmates sentenced to the Department of Corrections.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work
  • Valid Driver's License. Must possess own vehicle to travel between sites.
  • Licensure in Social Work (LSW)
  • Must be approved by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and adhere to all DOC requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Arrives at DSM V multi-axial diagnoses with precision and accuracy by the end of the evaluation sessions.
  • Makes clinically based decisions regarding appropriateness for treatment, as well as preferred treatment modality.
  • Provides crisis intervention services, group psychotherapy and psycho-education as assigned.
  • Provides case administration services which include the development and implementation of treatment plans for assigned patients, and ongoing assessments and release/discharge planning.
  • Maintains appropriate inmate's clinical records in a timely manner, as mandated by RBHS policy.
