Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is seeking a Mental Health Clinician III (Per-Diem) to work at the New Jersey State Parole Board within the Community Supervision for Life (CSL) Program located in Trenton, New Jersey. The Mental Health Clinician III participates in the assessment of clinical needs of adult inmates sentenced to the Department of Corrections.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work
  • Licensure in Social Work (LSW)
  • Valid Driver's License. Must possess own vehicle to travel between sites

Responsibilities

  • Arrives at DSM 5 multi-axial diagnoses with precision and accuracy by the end of the evaluation sessions.
  • Makes clinically based decisions regarding appropriateness for treatment, as well as preferred treatment modality.
  • Provides crisis intervention services, group psychotherapy and psycho-education as assigned.
  • Provides case administration services which include the development and implementation of treatment plans for assigned patients, and ongoing assessments and release/discharge planning.
  • Maintains appropriate inmate's clinical records in a timely manner, as mandated by RBHS policy.
