Tracking and managing involuntary commitments, including case tracking and representing the hospital in hearings, is part of the job. Maintaining a working knowledge of relevant behavioral health, medical, and legal issues impacting hospital patients is crucial. Documentation of assessments, dispositions, interactions, and conversations must adhere to department guidelines and standards. Charge capture is necessary to ensure financial stability. The position may involve providing clinical supervision to master's level student interns and department trainees as needed. The candidate must be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently, demonstrating flexibility in accepting diverse work assignments, managing stress related to change, and resolving conflicts effectively.
