About The Position

Each person who enters the Emergency Department (ED) doors with a mental health crisis receives services meticulously tailored to their unique needs. We are seeking a Mental Health Clinician to: Prioritize creating an environment where patients feel valued and understood. Provide diagnostic assessment and treatment to patients and their families presenting to the Emergency Department and on the inpatient units with mental health crisis/concerns. Empower patients’ choices and respect their autonomy by being transparent and engaging them in every step of their care. Work closely with the Emergency Department team in a fast-paced clinical environment. Work closely with the Psychiatry Consult-Liaison and on-call Psychiatry teams on safety and admission-related decisions. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or other behavioral health related field Required
  • 1 year of experience providing evidence-based treatments for a variety of mental health and behavioral diagnoses for children, adolescents, and adults Required
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Professional Counselor Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Marriage/Family Therapist Upon Hire Required and
  • CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of crisis management skills in hospital, clinic, or emergency department, crisis center counseling, Psychiatric Emergency Services, or Crisis Stabilization unit preferred Preferred
