About The Position

The Mental Health Clinical Therapist I position at LOH Outpatient in Plainfield, IL, is a full-time role with hours from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The therapist will conduct psychosocial assessments by interviewing patients and their significant others to obtain history and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus. They will contact previous and current caregivers to gather relevant clinical data for treatment planning and discharge planning. The therapist will develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, conduct daily assessments, and provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions. They will also conduct educational and aftercare support groups, participate in clinical team meetings, and maintain accurate medical records. The role requires adherence to ethical standards and compliance with safety and security programs.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or a recognized mental health field, or a Bachelor’s Degree with completion of an approved substance abuse education program.
• Knowledge of developmental psychology, disease pathology, and clinical needs of assigned population.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to summarize clinical information clearly in written documentation.
• Ability to demonstrate self-control in volatile situations.
• Ability to set therapeutic limits and maintain therapeutic boundaries with clients.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of two years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
