About The Position

The Mental Health Clinical Therapist I position at LOH Mill Street is a part-time role focused on providing mental health support and treatment to patients. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or a recognized mental health field, or a Bachelor’s Degree with completion of an approved substance abuse education program.
  • Knowledge of developmental psychology and clinical needs of the assigned population.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and summarize clinical information clearly.
  • Ability to demonstrate self-control in volatile situations.
  • Ability to set therapeutic limits and maintain boundaries with clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments by interviewing patients and their significant others.
  • Contact previous and current caregivers to obtain relevant clinical data.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct daily group and individual assessments.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
  • Conduct educational and aftercare support groups.
  • Participate in clinical team meetings and provide input on patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.

  • Serve as a representative in legal proceedings.
  • Schedule and document court hearings as required.

  • Float to alternate units or locations based on staffing needs.
