About The Position

The Behavioral Health Associate position at Resource Treatment Center involves working with adolescents aged 11 to 21 in an inpatient setting focused on mental and behavioral health. The role provides a unique opportunity to mentor youth while ensuring their well-being in a structured environment. Associates will monitor patients, document behaviors, and engage them in therapeutic activities to support their treatment goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
• At least 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background and DCS check with no felonies.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a mental health or behavioral health setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure supervision at 15-minute intervals.
• Document timely, accurate, and appropriate clinical information in patients' medical records.
• Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.
• Engage patients in interactions, group therapy, and activities designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals and increase therapeutic coping skills.
• Complete and maintain required documentation, including paperwork on incidents and events that may occur on the unit.
