ERA ED, a division of The Stepping Stones Group, is hiring immediately for part-time Mental Health Associates (MHAs) in Long Beach, CA, and the surrounding areas. If you have experience as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or have held a position related to mental health, we encourage you to apply and join our team in delivering state-of-the-art therapy services to children and young adolescents. This role offers scheduling flexibility and the chance to accrue child and family hours essential for your licensure (LCSWs, LPCCs, LMFTs). The work is a blend of home and school settings, providing an opportunity to establish connections with school districts and gain practical experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). As part of the role, you'll actively engage in IEP meetings and collaborate with professionals who share similar goals. We provide remote supervision hours at no cost, and our commitment to mentorship is reflected in our exceptional passing rates.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Registered Associate (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) with BBS current or in process
  • Clinical experience with children and/or adolescents
  • Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation
  • School-based service experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive wraparound services to children/adolescents/families with various diagnostic presentations (i.e., Mood, Anxiety, Trauma, Neurodevelopmental Disorders)
  • Individual & Family counseling utilizing evidence-based treatments
  • Collaborate with IEP team members including consulting IEP services
  • Maintain administrative oversight of client paperwork, collateral consults, and documentation and caseload management
  • Option to provide community-based counseling/psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families with an emphasis on evidence-based practices
