About The Position

The Mental Health Associate in the Psychiatric Unit at PeaceHealth is responsible for delivering services under the direct supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional. This role involves maintaining familiarity with clients' assessments and treatment plans, assisting with behavioral interventions, participating in treatment team meetings, and providing skills training to clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in the Human Services or related field.
• State registration or licensure as required by location.

Responsibilities

• Maintain familiarity with each client's assessment, behavior/care plan, and treatment plan to ensure 1:1 and group activities serve a therapeutic function.
• Assist with ongoing behavioral intervention/management on the unit, including helping care staff with difficult situations and preventative measures.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and scheduled in-service trainings.
• Provide skills training to clients, assist them in gaining aid and entitlements, and provide medication monitoring as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
