About The Position

Mental Health Associate is a member of a multi-disciplinary team. Acts as a partner with an accountable nurse to serve as either a primary or associate caregiver to assigned patients for the extent of the hospital stay. The counselor collaborates with the professional nurse and multi-disciplinary team members to provide holistic, individualized patient care and therapeutic milieu management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree-Human Services or Associate’s degree with three years’ inpatient psychiatric experience
• CPR
• With human services such as inpatient psychiatry or direct patient care preferred
• Interpersonal skills, knowledge of psychiatric terminology & theory, empathy
