Mental Health Assistant, per diem, I/P Psych, Morristown Medical Center
About The Position
Demonstrated knowledge & understanding of psychiatric disorders & patients. Use therapeutic communication skills in individual & group interactions with psychiatric patients. Provide 1-to-1 interventions with patients. Crisis identification & management including de-escalation. Assist nursing staff with variety of tasks/activities. Thorough, accurate, timely documentation of tasks/activities. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patients and their families. Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Nice To Haves
- Preferred: Psychology Major previous experience in Behavioral Health
