About The Position

Incident Management & Compliance Oversee MUIs and UIs to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of all documentation. Monitor and supervise investigative agents, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance oversight. Review and direct written reports to ensure adherence to regulations, policies, and procedures. Conduct investigations, collect evidence, document findings, and prepare formal reports. Analyze incident trends and patterns; develop and recommend preventative strategies. Conduct audits to ensure compliance and preparedness for Medicaid and Licensure surveys. Develop Plans of Correction and coordinate implementation and follow-up actions. Leadership & Coordination Act as a liaison between investigative staff, the Superintendent, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Lead staff meetings, disseminate critical information, and assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the supervisor. Represent the Incident Prevention Unit in meetings, presentations, and interactions with other governmental agencies. Participate in disaster planning and serve on assigned committees (e.g., Health & Safety, UIR). Serve as Administrator on Call as assigned. Program Monitoring & Support Conduct periodic monitoring of programmatic, dietary, behavioral, and other services to ensure appropriate implementation of individual plans. Prepare monitoring reports and collaborate with departments to support QIDPs and other programmatic staff. Assist interdisciplinary teams in developing, evaluating, or revising individual habilitation plans. Training & Development Provide training for institutional and regional staff, including new-hire orientation and annual in-service training. Assist leadership in developing organizational goals, long-range plans, and provider service agreements. Administrative Duties Maintain required records, documentation, and reports for internal and regulatory purposes. Act as a pre-disciplinary hearing officer and participate in other administrative processes as needed. Attend Executive Staff meetings and perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements

  • 24 months experience in development & implementation of treatment/habilitation plans for individuals who are mentally ill or developmentally disabled & working as part of inter-disciplinary team to assess individual's needs & abilities
  • 12 months experience as lead worker providing work direction & training for other employees
  • 12 months of training or 12 months experience in state &/or federal regulations & standards governing care, custody & programming of consumers/residents in mental health or developmental centers
  • 6 months experience in writing or assisting in development of policies, procedures, goals & objectives of operational unit or program of agency or firm
  • 1 course in manpower planning or 3 months experience scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage or projecting adequate staff levels
  • 3 months of training in budgeting or 3 months experience preparing or assisting in preparation of budget for operational unit or program of agency or firm.
  • Completion of undergraduate core program in mental health & developmental disabilities technology, social work or comparable field (e.g., child & family community services), special education, psychology or rehabilitation
  • 6 mos. exp. as Mental Health Administrator 2, 65222.
  • equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
