About The Position

The Head Coach for the men's soccer program is responsible for leading all aspects of the team, including recruitment, training, competition, staff management, and administrative duties. This role emphasizes academic excellence, personal development, and sportsmanship, while also requiring the coach to fulfill an additional administrative role within the college. The program competes in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as an NCAA Division III member.

Requirements

• Proven experience coaching soccer at the collegiate level.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop student-athletes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with others.
• Commitment to the academic success and well-being of student-athletes.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct the recruitment of prospective soccer student-athletes to build a competitive team.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance player skills and team cohesion.
• Scout opponents, analyze game film, and create match strategies for competition.
• Foster a positive practice environment focused on skill development and teamwork.
• Design and implement leadership development programs for student-athletes.
• Mentor and support student-athletes in their athletic and academic pursuits.
• Hire, supervise, and manage coaching staff and student managers.
• Oversee administrative aspects of the soccer program, including scheduling and budgets.
• Lead fundraising initiatives and engage with alumnae.
• Coordinate community service projects for student-athletes.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, MIAC, and college regulations.
• Promote high standards of sportsmanship and ethical behavior.
• Stay current with coaching trends and recruiting strategies.
• Direct and manage soccer clinics and summer programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
