About The Position

Oglethorpe University is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic professional to serve as the Men's Assistant Soccer Coach. This full-time position involves assisting the Head Coach in all phases of a competitive soccer program that competes in the Southern Athletic Association. The role includes on-field coaching, managing game day operations, recruiting student-athletes, and maintaining positive public relations for the athletic department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Previous coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Knowledge of NCAA, Title IX, and SAA rules and regulations.

• Ability to drive a 15-passenger van with a safe driving record.
• Demonstrated technical skills during practice.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse constituencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in all phases of the soccer program.
• On-field coaching and assisting with practice and game plans.
• Manage game day operations, including travel arrangements.
• Effectively recruit student-athletes.
• Monitor scholar-athlete academic progress.
• Assist in fundraising activities.
• Schedule practices and games.
• Know and abide by all University, NCAA, and Southern Athletic Association rules and regulations.
