About The Position

Zurich North America is currently hiring a Mendix Developer to work onsite or remotely for our Overland Park, KS office. As a Mendix Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying custom applications using the Mendix platform. You will translate business requirements into technical solutions, customize and extend Mendix applications, analyze functional business applications, and participate in Agile development processes.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Software Programming Applications area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Software Programming Applications area
• Experience assisting with design, coding benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs
• Experience working with multiple phases of software systems programming applications

Nice To Haves

• 2 years minimum development experience in Mendix platform
• Mendix Rapid Developer certified
• Practical experience working in an agile environment
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities at the same time
• Familiarity with javascript, css and html
• Preferred experience in programming languages such as JAVA or .NET

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy custom applications using the Mendix platform
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions using Mendix's low code/no code platform
• Customize and extend Mendix applications through configuration, scripting, and integration with other systems
• Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities
• Develop block diagrams and logic flow charts
• Translate detailed design into high quality software code
• Test, debug and refine software to produce the required product
• Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency
• Participate in Agile development processes and ceremonies
