Our Men’s brand is a key growth area, and this role plays a critical part in shaping product strategy, driving margin, and ensuring operational excellence behind the scenes. The Men’s Inventory Manager + Buying Admin is a business-minded, strategic role focused on owning the Men’s product lifecycle from buying through inventory execution. This role combines hands-on buying with day-to-day inventory leadership across our Men’s locations. You will be responsible for product assortment, vendor relationships, inventory flow, margin performance, and data-driven decision making. This is an ownership role for someone who enjoys both big-picture strategy and detailed execution. You will work closely with store leaders and leadership teams to ensure the Men’s business is healthy, profitable, and positioned for growth.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in retail buying, inventory management, or merchandising (fashion/apparel preferred).
  • Ability and willingness to travel 2-4 times per year for buying trips (1-3 days per trip, all expenses covered).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using sales data to make buying and inventory decisions.
  • Excellent vendor relationship and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems (Lightspeed experience a plus).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Attend buying markets and trade shows to source new products, discover emerging brands, and stay ahead of trends.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships to negotiate better pricing and improve margins.
  • Develop product assortment strategy for Men's brand aligned with customer preferences and margin goals.
  • Manage buying budget (OTB) and make strategic purchasing decisions to balance inventory investment with sales projections.
  • Analyze cost-to-retail ratios and set retail pricing to achieve Men's brand margin targets.
  • Identify high-margin opportunities by sourcing new brands and negotiating volume discounts.
  • Manage purchase orders from creation through delivery, ensuring accurate tracking and timely receipt.
  • Monitor inventory levels across all Men’s locations using the buying tracker and 4-week planning tools.
  • Analyze sales data to identify bestsellers, slow movers, and reorder opportunities.
  • Coordinate store-to-store transfers to optimize inventory distribution and reduce stockouts.
  • Oversee markdowns and sale rack maintenance to move aged inventory efficiently.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports (Bestsellers, Cash + Inventory Management, Product Charges, Inventory Levels).
  • Lead weekly Men's brand tactical meetings with store inventory leads to review performance and plan actions.
  • Conduct monthly store walkthroughs in each of our 3 Men locations (Tacoma, Silverdale, Totem Lake) to assess product assortment, merchandising, and inventory health.
  • Manage vendor communication (orders, payments, shipping, issue resolution).
  • Maintain Lightspeed category management for Men's products.
  • Support inventory audits and maintain accuracy across all locations.
