About The Position

Memphis Veterinary Specialists & Emergency is currently seeking a Client Service Supervisor to join their team! The role involves supervising receptionists, including hiring, firing, and evaluating performance, reviewing time reporting, enforcing company policies, and communicating new practices and policies regarding reception duties. The supervisor will also schedule receptionists according to staffing needs and serve as a receptionist as needed. Additionally, the position requires receiving client complaints and concerns regarding reception, escalating issues to the Hospital Manager as necessary. The supervisor will maintain specialist scheduling information, count cash and balance daily transactions, process refunds, returns, and credits, and organize payment plans and held checks. Responsibilities also include bi-monthly billing statements and collections, end-of-month closing reports, and serving as a back-up to the Hospital Manager for maintenance or building issue resolution.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience.
  • At least 1 year veterinary medical receptionist experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with veterinary environment, terminology, and protocols.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Experience with multi-line telephone systems.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Supervisory and staff scheduling skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to properly handle and account for cash and client payments.
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
