About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner position at Arrow Senior Living is a full-time role located in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The starting wage for this position ranges from $21.00 to $23.00 per hour. The shift schedule is from Sunday to Thursday, 7 am to 3 pm. The role involves advocating for empathy, being a patient observer, mastering the physical environment to enhance residents' experiences, and partnering with residents in their daily lives. Responsibilities also include documenting resident care and assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Positive and energetic attitude towards residents.
  • Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with mobility and after falls.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Be an Advocate of Empathy: Create human connections with residents during their vulnerable moments.
  • Be a Patient Observer: Discover residents’ interests and collaborate to create engagement plans.
  • Be a Master of the Mise en Scène: Prepare the environment for residents' daily activities.
  • Be a Life Partner: Assist residents in all facets of daily life.
  • Document resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
