About The Position

The Memory Care Specialist is responsible for overseeing memory care operations across multiple communities, particularly in the absence of a dedicated Memory Care Director/Manager. This role focuses on ensuring consistent programming, compliance with state and organizational standards, and providing leadership, training, and mentoring to support memory care communities. The specialist will also innovate and implement memory care initiatives to uphold the company's reputation as a leading provider in the industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as gerontology, social work, or healthcare administration (preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in memory care or a related field, including leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to memory care.
• Proven ability to mentor and train teams effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assume interim Memory Care Director or Manager roles as needed.
• Develop and implement programming to meet state and American House standards.
• Provide leadership training and onboarding for new Memory Care Directors/Managers.
• Mentor and support Memory Care Directors and neighborhood teams.
• Facilitate monthly family support group meetings.
• Conduct support visits to challenged communities, providing feedback and direction.
• Prepare and deliver support visit summary reports to key stakeholders.
• Assist in managing budgets, including labor and operational expenses.
• Participate in cross-functional collaboration to promote organizational goals.
• Lead and conduct training sessions to ensure compliance with state requirements.
• Travel and work flexible schedules to meet community needs.
