About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Homemaker to join our team at The Kentridge Senior Living in Kent, OH. This full-time position offers a starting wage of $16.00 per hour. The role involves creating a homelike atmosphere in memory care, preparing and serving meals, ensuring residents are hydrated and engaged, and providing meaningful experiences. The shift schedule is from Wednesday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Professional appearance and conduct are necessary.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
• Positive and energetic attitude towards residents is essential.
• Must be active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
• Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Create an inviting, comfortable, and tidy atmosphere in memory care apartments and common areas.
• Prepare and serve family-style dining, guiding residents in their dining experience.
• Ensure residents are guided to snacks and hydration three times a day.
• Engage residents and provide meaningful experiences as an extra hand in the neighborhood.
