As the Memory Care Program Manager of our Connections Memory Support Program , you will lead our Alzheimer’s and dementia neighborhood by planning, implementing, and overseeing a vibrant program that supports residents’ well-being while guiding a team dedicated to enriching their daily lives. Current Opportunity Full-time Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm Includes an every 4th weekend rotation

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with older adults and supervising staff , preferably in memory care, senior living, healthcare, or a related human services environment .
  • Demonstrated interest in dementia care and willingness to learn Validation techniques and therapeutic communication approaches.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting residents, families, and team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, Behavioral Health, Social Services, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
  • CDP (Certified Dementia Practitioner) or similar dementia-care training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the Connections Memory Support Neighborhood , ensuring care and programming align with best practices in Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
  • Plan and deliver a vibrant therapeutic activities program that promotes engagement, dignity, and quality of life.
  • Utilize and model Validation techniques when supporting residents experiencing cognitive changes or challenging behaviors.
  • Partner with nursing and the clinical team to monitor resident well-being, communicate changes, and support individualized care plans.
  • Supervise and support the Connections Coordinator, Personal Care Associates, Housekeeping staff and Dynamic Living staff within the neighborhood.
  • Maintain staffing schedules that meet resident care needs and ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback while fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with residents and their families through open communication and support.
  • Educate families about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias while addressing questions or concerns.
  • Facilitate a monthly caregiver support group for families.
  • Coordinate neighborhood operations including resident care schedules and apartment readiness.
  • Collaborate with nursing, dining services, chaplaincy, and Community Life teams to enhance resident experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, resident rights, safety standards, and applicable state regulations.
