  • Design a 7-day-a-week person-centered program that is engaging and meets the needs and interests of individual residents.
  • Promote and engage residents in the 7 domains of well-being programs in a dementia-friendly structured environment.
  • Develop a monthly calendar of activities in partnership with residents based on their shared interests.
  • Ensure compliance with Brookdale Excellence Standards Tool (BEST) and other regulations.
  • Collaborate with community leadership to educate families and associates about Alzheimer's disease and dementia care.
  • Supervise Clare Bridge Program Assistants as required, including hiring and performance evaluations.
  • Plan and coordinate special events and programs, including educational and marketing events.
  • Report changes in residents' health to clinical partners and collaborate on interventions.
  • Oversee social media content to align with Brookdale's culture and standards.
  • Maintain department budget and manage volunteer programs.
  • Perform personal care, housekeeping, and dietary responsibilities as needed.
  • Bachelor's Degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, education, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum two years of direct programming experience with older adults and persons with dementia preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and a current 3-year driving abstract with no more than one moving violation.
  • Experience in a healthcare or senior living environment.
  • Knowledge of dementia care best practices.
