About The Position

Memory Care Nurse Manager RN or LPN Position Summary The Memory Care Nurse Manager (MCNM) is responsible for the overall management and success of the Memory Care Department. This leadership role oversees resident care, regulatory compliance, and team performance while fostering a warm, supportive, and resident-centered environment. The MCNM is responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and developing caregiving staff; overseeing resident assessments and care planning; facilitating care conferences; and ensuring compliance with all Chateau policies and Washington State regulations. As a leader, the MCNM is expected to cultivate a positive culture for residents, families, and team members while representing Chateau through community and industry engagement.

Requirements

  • Current RN license, or LPN with RN oversight
  • Minimum two years of long-term care experience, preferably in Assisted Living or Memory Care
  • Supervisory and management experience
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of issues related to aging and dementia care
  • Specialty training: Manager Mental Health, Manager Dementia
  • Valid CPR and Food Handler’s Permit

Responsibilities

  • Oversee resident assessments, care plans, ADL documentation, behavior plans, and negotiated service agreements
  • Ensure all Chateau policies, procedures, and systems are implemented and followed
  • Assist the HSD in ensuring compliance with Boarding Home regulations
  • Oversee the medication assistance program
  • Interact with physicians and healthcare professionals to meet resident care needs
  • Facilitate resident care conferences and maintain the Resident Characteristic Roster
  • Ensure accurate documentation, incident reporting, and revenue capture
  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and coach caregiving staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing coaching
  • Maintain adequate staffing levels within budgetary guidelines and cover shifts as needed
  • Participate in monthly staff meetings and in-services in collaboration with the HSD
  • Be on-call for departmental, medical, and emergency needs (rotating on-call)
  • Perform caregiver duties as needed
  • Maintain a positive, resident-centered environment for residents, families, and team members
  • Participate in community and industry networking to promote Chateau
  • Represent Chateau in events and activities that support the community and department
  • Protect resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
