The Memory Care Director (Director, Artis Way Experience) at Artis Senior Living is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring that the culture of the company is cultivated and supported throughout the community. This position is centered around the "Positive Partnerships" philosophy, which is integral to all programs associated with it. The Memory Care Director will conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments of residents' social, emotional, and general well-being, documenting these assessments appropriately. Working closely with the Director of Health and Wellness, the Memory Care Director will assist in the development of individualized care plans that capture the unique needs of each resident. Artis Senior Living operates a portfolio of 25 Assisted Living and Memory Care communities, serving over 1,500 families. The organization is dedicated to empowering residents to live more independently by bridging their lifelong identity with their present daily life. This is achieved through a thorough understanding of each resident's history, interests, and personal qualities, which helps create a structure and routine that promotes better health, reduces stress, and increases engagement and joy. The Memory Care Director plays a crucial role in promoting this philosophy across all departments and ensuring that it is practiced daily. In addition to overseeing the Positive Partner recognition program and managing the annual budget for related programs, the Memory Care Director will collaborate with various department leaders to enhance the overall resident experience. This includes participating in recruitment processes, conducting admission procedures for new residents, and facilitating family care plan meetings. The role also involves maintaining effective communication with residents, families, and external organizations specializing in memory impairment issues, ensuring that the community stays updated on current trends and best practices in care.
