Memory Care Coordinator - Activities The Memory Care Coordinator (MCC) champions Charter Senior Living's Flourish Memory Care philosophy and embodies our mission of Enhancing the Human Spirit. This position supports the daily execution of dementia specific engagement programs and assists with elements of person-centered care throughout the memory care neighborhood. The MCC works under the direction of the Memory Care Director (MCD) and is responsible for leading 5-9 daily programs, promoting Flourish standards, and reinforcing dementia care approaches with team members. This is a non-supervisory role focused on program delivery, not program design or staff management. Essential Duties: • Support the mission, vision, and culture of Charter Senior Living. • Promote the Flourish Memory Care philosophy and maintain its program standards. • Lead 5-9 daily engagement programs, including individual, group, sensory, and theme-based activities. • Support structured neighborhood routines and provide engagement during transitions such as meals and rest periods. • May at times be asked to participate in expressions huddles and help implement engagement-based support strategies, at the direction of the MCD. • Assist the MCD with event prep, monthly calendar activities, and gathering materials or supply requests as needed. • Encourage and support resident participation in programs and personalized experiences. • Promote engagement among care associates by modeling activities and approach techniques. • Ensure programming areas are clean, organized, and inviting for residents. • Contribute to the implementation of Flourish engagement domains: - Motion & Movement - Knowledge & Learning - Motivation & Creation - Community & Connection - Harmony & Introspection - Intention & Commitment - Exploration & Adventure • Assist with onboarding new residents into engagement routines and personalized supports. • Participate in family nights, volunteer events, and seasonal programs as directed by the MCD. • Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and associates. • Support dementia-informed care by reinforcing person-centered redirection, therapeutic approaches, and engagement strategies. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Memory Care Director.
