About The Position

We are currently hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time position in our assisted living community, specifically for Sunday through Thursday nights, 10pm-6am. We provide shift differentials for NOC and weekend shifts and pride ourselves on exceptional management that prioritizes both residents and staff. All our buildings are fully staffed with housekeeping, dietary, and activities personnel, enabling caregivers to focus primarily on resident care. As a caregiver, primary responsibilities include assisting elderly residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), documenting changes, and notifying the Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) and nurse of any concerns. Other duties will be assigned by the Administrator or RCC.

Requirements

  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Be a self-starter capable of working independently
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
  • High tolerance for working under pressure
  • Ability to manage critical situations calmly
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, family members, and professionals
  • Ability to convey sensitive information with empathy
  • Positive and compassionate attitude
  • Genuine love for the elderly
  • Food handler's permit (upon hire)
  • CPR/First Aid certification (upon hire)
  • TB test (upon hire)
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check due to past felonies

Nice To Haves

  • CNA certification
  • Experience as a CNA or Med Tech
  • At least one year of caregiving experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist our elderly residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Document and notify the Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) and nurse of any changes or concerns regarding the residents' conditions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator or RCC
