About The Position

As a Memory Care Activity Director at Brookdale Niagara MC, you will oversee the full implementation of resident and family engagement's overall dementia care program. This role involves providing coaching and leadership to caregivers within the community, ensuring that Care Associates deliver person-centered programming, dining, and care. You will collaborate with the leadership team to provide dementia training, manage the preadmission/move-in/move-out process of residents, and educate associates on dementia care, including how to lead programs and interventions for behavioral expression. Additionally, you will plan and coordinate a calendar of dementia-friendly programs tailored to meet the specific needs of all residents within the dementia care community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in gerontology, therapeutic recreation, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years of management and direct supervision experience preferred.
• Experience with residents with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias in a residential setting is required.
