Memory Care Activity Aide
About The Position
Bayshore is recruiting for a Memory Care Activity Aide candidate to become a part of our team! Providingour residents with fun and entertaining engaging activities is one ofthe most rewarding parts of what we do at the facility. As an activityaide for our memory care, your primary role is to engage individualswith memory impairments in meaningful and stimulating activities thatpromote cognitive function, physical health, socialization, andemotional well-being. Asan activity aide, you will work closely with the residents leadinghourly programs for individuals and groups, along with transporting andassisting residents to and from activities. The activity aide supportsand assists the Activities Director in all necessary programming. Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must enjoy taking care of others and be a team player
- Prefer at least one-year prior experience working with elders or in a Memory Care setting
- Motivation to get tasks completed timely and efficiently
- Oral and Written English Communication Skills
- A teamwork attitude
- Experience working in activities preferred
- Good Computer Skills and/or willingness to learn
- A caring demeanor and positive attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational abilities
- Prior Nursing Home Experience is a plus
Nice To Haves
- Prefer at least one-year prior experience working with elders or in a Memory Care setting
- Experience working in activities preferred
- Prior Nursing Home Experience is a plus
