JOB PURPOSE: 

The Memory Care Director will oversee the daily operations of the Memory Care
Unit. Including but not limited to, coordinating the program/activities,
services, policies and procedures to ensure a therapeutic, engaging and safe
environment for all Residents. Supervising and management of staff and CNA’s.

Requirements

• Must possess a working knowledge of the most common dementia disease processes and psychopharmacology as pertains to residents with dementia disease processes.
• Must have a working knowledge of failure free approaches to activities and ADLs.
• Minimum 2 years' experience caring for individuals with age-related brain disease.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when required.
• Must possess the ability to tactfully interact with personnel, neighbors and families.
• Must possess an understanding of the social, psychological, physical and leisure needs of residents living in a special care unit.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Dementia Practitioner “CDP” preferred but will train
