About The Position

The Village At Summerville is seeking a compassionate and creative Memory Support Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan and lead engaging, person-centered activities for residents in our Memory Support community. This role uses the Montessori approach to support our residents and promote holistic well-being through meaningful, daily engagement.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Human Services, Social Science, Behavioral Science, or other related field.
  • Certified Dementia Practitioner credential, or similar credential in dementia care.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in activities in a Memory Support community
  • Valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and lead engaging Memory Support activities promoting the seven dimensions of wellness (physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, emotional, environmental, vocational)
  • Implement Montessori-based programming for residents with dementia and cognitive impairments
  • Coordinate and deliver activities during weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Personalize activity programming based on resident needs, interests, and input from families
  • Support new resident orientation and ensure a smooth transition into the household
  • Understand Montessori approach and assume leadership role in teaching, coaching, and modeling approach
  • Manage inventory of activity supplies and track monthly budget spending
  • Drive the community bus for resident outings and serve as backup driver as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
