About The Position

The Memory Care Activity Assistant plays a vital and heartfelt role in enriching the lives of residents. With warmth, patience, and genuine care, they help create a joyful and engaging environment where seniors feel seen, heard, and valued.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Successful completion of a State approved Nursing Assistant training and competency evaluation program or a CNA competency evaluation program approved by the State.

Responsibilities

  • Being able to truly connect with residents, understanding their emotional and social needs.
  • A desire to work with those experiencing Alzheimer's disease and other memory-related dementia assuring that each person lives every day to their maximum cognitive and physical ability.
  • The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents.
  • Cooperating closely with the care team to support residents holistically.
  • Balancing daily schedules, multiple residents, and activity prep.
  • Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that suit different physical and cognitive abilities.
