About The Position

Join the Quail Park of Lynnwood team as a Life Engagement Assistant in our Tribute Memory Care Department! This role involves planning, assisting with, and coordinating a variety of events and activities to keep our residents stimulated and engaged. You will also assist the care team with monitoring and supporting residents by keeping up to date on social history profiles and modeling behavior management strategies. The schedule is Wednesday-Sunday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, and you must be able to drive the bus for outings (training will be provided).

Requirements

• At least 1 year experience working in a senior living environment and/or social activity leadership
• Previous experience working in a memory care setting
• CNA/HCA certification
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with residents, guests, and team members
• Meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure
• Maintain current CPR/First Aid and Food Handler’s credentials
• Proficiency in basic computer skills including MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementation of scheduled resident activities
• Plan, coordinate, and participate in a variety of social events, outings, and on-site activities to meet residents' social, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs
• Act as a role model for communication and behavior management strategies
• Ensure all resident activities, outings, and events occur according to schedule
• Assist in recruiting, training, and scheduling volunteers to support the community activity program
• Support the team in providing resident care and activities in a safe and effective manner while maintaining resident dignity, choice, and respect.
