Schedule: Days
Every Other Weekend rotation required (Sat/Sun)

Responsibilities

Resident-Centered Engagement
Facilitate small group and one-on-one activities tailored to residents’ abilities and interests
Adapt activities for different stages of dementia
Encourage participation while respecting each resident’s pace and comfort level
Therapeutic Activities
Lead programs such as:
Music and singing
Chair exercises or movement groups
Art and crafts
Games and sensory activities
Reminiscence and storytelling
Use sensory-based approaches (touch, sound, visuals, familiar objects)
Emotional & Social Support
Provide compassionate companionship
Offer reassurance and redirection during moments of confusion or agitation
Build trusting relationships with residents and families
Daily Structure & Routine
Help maintain a calming, predictable daily routine
Assist with special events, celebrations, and themed programs
Escort residents to and from activities as needed
Documentation & Teamwork
Document resident participation and responses to activities
Communicate changes in behavior or engagement to nursing and care teams
Work closely with the Activities Director and Memory Care staff
