About The Position

Hoag Health is seeking a Memory and Cognitive Disorders Physician to join the world-renowned Pickup Family Neuroscience Institute in Southern California at Hoag Health System. The Pickup Family Neurosciences Institute offers expertise in most conditions of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves leveraging our multidisciplinary program approach, each focusing on a specific patient issue. Ranked Top 50 in Neurology & Neurosurgery by U.S. News & World Report. With training in memory and cognitive disorders to join our expanding hospital system, the ideal candidate will have clinical experience and academic interest in conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal dementia, Lewy body dementia, mild cognitive impairment, and other neurodegenerative disorders affecting cognition. A provider with a strong passion for advancing the field through clinical research and innovation is highly valued for this role. The position is well-suited for someone who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Responsibilities include contributing to clinical trials, participating in research initiatives, and working closely with neuropsychologists, geriatricians, neurologists, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive, patient centered care.

Requirements

  • Formal training in behavioral neurology, cognitive neurology, neurology, geriatric psychiatry, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in diagnosing and managing cognitive disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to collaborative care and scientific advancement

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care for patients with cognitive and memory disorders, including Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal dementia, Lewy body dementia, mild cognitive impairment, and other neurodegenerative conditions
  • Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives
  • Collaborate with neuropsychologists, geriatricians, neurologists and other specialists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Contribute to the advancement of the field through research, innovation, and academic engagement
