About The Position

The Memorial Consultant / Store Manager plays a crucial role in the management of sales efforts for the store. This position requires professionalism and integrity as they are tasked with being an ambassador within the communities we serve, showing empathy to the grieving families we work with, and having an eye for design and detail. This position has an annual salary range of $50,000 - $55,000 based on experience. This position is eligible for commissions/bonuses on monument sales and store goals. This position will remain posted until filled with resume review ongoing.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of inside/outside sales experience
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in sales, marketing, business, or related field
  • 5+ years of inside/outside sales experience
  • An understanding of funeral home, cemetery, granite, or retail store operations

Responsibilities

  • Assist families in selecting, designing, and purchasing meaningful memorials, schedule and conduct meetings with prospective customers, and enter prospects and sales orders into NetSuite
  • Manage a retail store, including regular and appointment-based hours, creating promotional materials, maintaining a service-driven attitude, executing sales and marketing plans, and organizing store promotions and community events
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, co-workers, and industry influencers, travel to local cemeteries for order details, and engage in community outreach to establish the business as the top choice for granite headstones, monuments, veterans’ memorials, as well as memorial benches and signage.
  • Maintain a clean showroom, office, and store front, order supplies, travel for annual sales meetings and trainings, manage and delegate to support staff, and support and network with other sales representatives and ancillary staff
