About The Position

The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individuals for a part-time Membership Services position. The Membership Services staff will help to create a welcoming experience for members while promoting programs that encourage health and wellness within our community. Location: Newport-Mesa Family YMCA Work Schedule: Looking for staff with availability during the hours listed. Weekends may be required as needed. Tuesday 9:00am - 6:00pm Thursday 9:00am-12:00pm or 3:00pm - 8:00pm Friday 9:00am - 12:00pm Purpose and Impact: Practice Intentionality: Serve as the primary contact, creating a warm and professional environment for all members. Handle all inquiries, payments, and concerns with care. Drive Community Growth: Actively engage with current and prospective members through facility tours and interviews to promote memberships and programs. Proactively generate new prospects through consistent follow-up, tracking, and collaboration with program teams Exemplify Core Values: Uphold Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility while handling check-ins, cash management, and maintaining an organized lobby and workspace. Data Management & Program Support: Perform essential clerical tasks, manage data entry/retrieval, communicate program details, and assist with registrations. Be proactive with knowledge of all program information and changes.

Requirements

  • H.S. diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 - 3 years' experience in sales, marketing, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of customer service, excellent communication skills, and PC ability required.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).
