About The Position

The Membership Services Representative (MSR) at the YMCA of the Inland Northwest plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring visitor satisfaction. This part-time position involves engaging with members and the community, processing memberships, and promoting YMCA programs while embodying the organization's values of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One to two years of experience working with the public and cash handling.
• Proficiency with standard business software operations.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications upon hire.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups from all social and economic segments.

Responsibilities

• Process, update, and complete registration for membership enrollment and program activities using proficiency in YMCA programs and software.
• Greet YMCA members and staff, determine the purpose of their visit, and direct them accordingly.
• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while handling inquiries or complaints from members and prospective members.
• Accept and process cash transactions for YMCA programs and services, ensuring accurate till drawer reconciliation.
• Provide comprehensive tours of the YMCA facility to encourage membership enrollment.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with YMCA members, participants, and staff.
• Follow safety, emergency, and child abuse prevention policies, reporting incidents as necessary.
• Participate in annual fundraising campaigns and encourage community involvement.
